Water line and main replacement
The water service line runs from the city main under the street to your home. From the property line inward, it's your responsibility — and in older Vancouver neighbourhoods those lines are often galvanized steel or early plastic that has reached the end of its life.
Signs your service line is failing
Water pressure dropping across the whole house, not one fixture · Discoloured or rusty water at every tap · A wet patch or unusually green strip in the lawn between the street and the house · Water bill rising with no change in use · Repeated repairs to the same line
What's involved
We locate the line, confirm the failure with pressure testing, and replace it. Trenchless methods — pulling a new line through the old path — avoid digging a trench across the yard and driveway where conditions allow. Where they don't, it's an open trench, and we'll tell you which you're getting before we quote.
Municipal permits are required and there's usually a city inspection at the connection. We handle both.
