Our guarantee, in plain language
Most warranty pages are written to be technically accurate and practically useless. Here’s ours in language you can actually check us against.
This page is the guarantee. There is no separate document with different wording in it, and the terms below are the ones on your invoice.
If our work fails because of how we did it, we come back and fix it at no charge. Parts, labour, call-out — all of it.
Manufacturer warranty on the tank — registered in your name, by us, on the day we install it. Most companies leave that to you, and most people never do it.
Two different things, both real. The first is our own promise about our own hands. The second is the manufacturer’s promise, made usable — a warranty nobody registered is a warranty nobody can claim on.
Workmanship guarantee — 90 days
The joint we soldered, the fitting we installed, the pipe we ran, the fixture we mounted.
If it leaks, drips, fails or comes loose because of our workmanship within 90 days of completion, you call us and we deal with it. Parts, labour and the call-out are all included, at any hour, at no charge.
Ninety days is shorter than some companies advertise. We’d rather publish a term we honour without an argument than a longer one with conditions stacked underneath it.
Workmanship faults declare themselves early. A joint that was going to leak leaks in the first weeks, not in the eleventh month. What fails later is almost always the part — and parts are covered in years, not days.
Parts and equipment — registered in your name
These are the manufacturer’s terms, not ours. The exact figure is on the unit we install and on your work record.
Who files the registration
The card stays in the box.
Registration is left with the homeowner — a card in the carton or a form on the manufacturer’s site, plus the receipt you’ll need to find again in four years.
Most people never do it. Then the tank fails in year five and the claim starts with proving, from memory, when it was installed and by whom.
We file it the day we install.
We submit the registration in your name, with the install date, the model and serial, and our licence number on it. A copy goes into your work record.
If that tank fails in year five, the paperwork already exists and it already has your name on it.
If a part fails inside its manufacturer warranty, we handle the claim. You don’t chase the manufacturer; we do.
What isn’t covered
Being straight about this is the point of the page. Two exclusions matter enough to explain properly rather than bury in a list.
We can’t warranty a drain whose condition we don’t control. We clear the blockage you called about, and we’ll show you what came out — but the pipe it came out of is what it was before we arrived: old clay, root-jointed, bellied, narrowed by decades of scale.
Clearing a line doesn’t change the line. A drain that blocks again has a structural cause, and a warranty return would just clear it again next month. What answers it is a camera down the line to find out what’s actually there. That’s a diagnosis, not a warranty claim — and it’s the thing that ends the problem.
We warrant our installation; the product’s warranty stays with whoever sold it to you. If we mounted your faucet badly and it leaks at the connection, that’s our workmanship and it’s covered like anything else.
If the cartridge inside it fails, that’s the fixture — and we didn’t choose it, source it, or see it before it came out of your box. Manufacturers won’t accept a claim from an installer on a unit the installer didn’t supply, so there’s no chain for us to stand in. Bring your own fixture and you keep its warranty; buy it through us and we carry the whole thing.
Damage from something other than our work — a different pipe failing, tree roots, ground movement, freezing in an unheated space
Wear on parts we didn’t supply
Work another company did afterward on the same system
Damage from misuse — grease down a drain we just cleared, wipes down a toilet
Pre-existing conditions we flagged in writing and you chose not to address
Acts of nature, and the ordinary consequence of a system reaching the end of its life
The price guarantee
You get it in writing before work starts and it doesn’t change while we’re in your home.
If we open a wall and find something genuinely unforeseeable — and in Vancouver’s older housing that does happen — we stop, show you, explain the options and give you a revised written price. You decide. We don’t carry on and hand you a bigger bill at the end.
You call us. That’s the whole process.
Call or email with your invoice number And if you can’t find it, your address is enough. We keep your service history.
A technician is dispatched, not scheduled Warranty work is dispatched the same way emergency work is — sooner if it’s leaking.
No form, no proving anything You won’t be asked to submit a claim, photograph the fault, or explain it twice.
Licences and insurance
A guarantee is only worth the company behind it. These are checkable, and the certificates are available before we start work — ask.

Permits pulled as standard on the work that needs them — which matters here, because unpermitted work is the one thing that can put a guarantee and an insurance claim in the same sentence.

Common questions
Ninety days from completion. Parts, labour and the call-out, at no charge.
Because it’s a term we honour without an argument. Workmanship faults show up early; what fails later is the part, and on a tank we install that’s covered for 6 years — registered in your name, by us.
Transfer terms are still being confirmed. Ask us before you list and we’ll tell you where you stand.
No. We keep your service history, including the model and serial of anything we installed.
We handle the manufacturer claim for you — you don’t chase the manufacturer, we do. Labour terms to confirm.
Because the drain’s condition isn’t ours. If a cleared line blocks again, the cause is structural — and the answer is a camera inspection rather than clearing it a second time.
No. It’s a guarantee on our own work. Insurance is a separate product from a regulated provider — we carry it too, and that’s the $5,000,000 line above.
