Where we can publish a price instead of a range, we do
Some jobs are the same job in almost every house. Those get a number, not a range — and the number sits next to what the market charges so you can see the gap rather than take our word for it.
A single number would be either useless or a lie
The honest answer to “how much is a repipe?” is “between $5,000 and $18,000, and here’s what decides it.” So every guide gives you the range, then the six or seven factors that put your house at one end of it.
Where a job is consistent enough to carry one number, we publish the number instead. Both are above.
Most of the ranges here are market-sourced planning estimates for Metro Vancouver, and they carry a provisional stamp until they’re replaced with figures drawn from our own completed jobs. The flat prices are our own, today.
We’d rather tell you which is which than let you assume.
Four omissions turn a cheap quote into an expensive job

About these numbers
Are these your prices or market prices?
Both, labelled. The flat prices are ours. Most of the ranges are market-sourced planning estimates for Metro Vancouver, stamped provisional until we replace them with figures from our own completed jobs.
How often do you update them?
Quarterly.
Why publish prices at all?
Because you’re going to ask on the phone anyway, and finding out at the door is how people end up feeling ambushed.
Will you match a cheaper quote?
No. We’ll tell you honestly whether the cheaper quote is missing something — and if it isn’t, take it.
Can you give me a price over the phone?
For flat-priced work, yes, on the call. For anything where the number depends on what we find, you get a written price after we’ve looked and before anything starts.
